At the 68th Filmfare Awards, veteran actor Salman Khan was spotted posing with the new Hyundai Verna. Note that Hyundai is the main sponsor of the prestigious award ceremony. It is one of the biggest awards an actor could aim to achieve in Bollywood. We have seen many established actors whose careers started by winning such awards. On the contrary many actors have questioned the credibility of such accolades in recent times.

Verna is an established product in the segment for years now. It has been updated by the Korean auto giant from time to time to keep it fresh despite stiff competition from the likes of the Honda City, VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia at this moment. In its latest iteration, there are tons of segment-first features, as is always the case with Hyundai cars, options of multiple powertrains and bold and modern aesthetics for an unmissable road presence.

Hyundai Verna comes powered by two engines – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generating 115 PS / 144 Nm and 160 PS / 253 Nm of peak power and torque. The former comes mated with the option of either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic while the latter can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic. The prices of the Verna range from Rs 10.90 lakh to Rs 17.38 lakh, ex-showroom.
