Finally, a thorough facelift is overdue; we might see it during the festive season this year (2023).

Updates with Tata Harrier and Safari Facelift
1 Harrier EV-inspired Design
Tata Motors showcased the Harrier EV at the Auto Expo with a modern design. The facelift models will also carry that theme, judging by the spy images. This includes a sleek LED DRL setup with a slim bar running across the width of the bonnet, a prominent grille much like the existing model, a split-LED headlamp layout on either side of the bumper, and a large radiator grille down below, along with new alloys and connected LED taillamps.

2 Petrol Engine
While the existing 2.0-liter 170 PS / 350 Nm turbo diesel engine will continue, we could also see a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine making 170 PS and 280 Nm of peak power and torque. This will ensure that the new Harrier and Safari prices are more accessible to a wider audience. Also, the advent of the petrol engine could work in favor of the SUVs in Delhi-NCR, where diesel cars are losing their sheen owing to the shorter 10 year life span.

4 Price
Tata Harrier is priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 24.07 lakh while the Safari ranges from Rs 15.65 lakh to Rs 25.02 lakh, ex-showroom. While the diesel variants would bear a slight premium over these prices, the new petrol trims could be slightly more affordable. Also, thanks to the increased competition in the form of the Mahindra Scorpio N and XUV700, there are high chances that the updated Tata SUVs would be priced quite competitively.

5 Additional Features
While the XZA+(O) version of the Tata Harrier and Safari already come with ADAS, this feature is likely to make it to other high-end variants. Additionally, the SUV could offer a new 10.25-inch touchscreen system with several improvements over the current model. Other than this, the SUVs could get some additional goodies to help them compete with the feature-laden duo of Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio N. The expected launch of the Harrier and Safari will occur during the festive season this year.
