Indian Truck Driver Salary in Canada
The video has been uploaded by Karan Chogawan on YouTube. He is a popular vlogger who lives and drives a truck in Canada and shares his experiences through his vlogs. In this video, he talks about the details of his salary. First of all, he showcases the life of a truck driver in Canada. He mentions that he needs to fill out the log book before commencing any journey regarding the parameters of the truck. Then, he gets the information about the journey including navigation, resting areas, loading/unloading times, restaurants on the way and more. There is a full-size bed inside the cabin of the trucks where the driver can sleep when he/she is on a long haul.

Salary
Talking about the salary, Karan mentions that there are various parameters on which the salary of a truck driver in Canada depends. This ranges from the type of visa you possess, the kind of truck you own, the number of trailers you are attaching with the truck, the company you are employed at, the kind of experience you have, the willingness to accept multi-day journeys, national and international trips, and much more.

But in general, one could expect around 50 cents per mile and by driving for around 10,000 to 12,000 miles each month, the salary could be around $5,000 CAD to $6,000 CAD. This amounts to around Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh per month. Out of this, around $1,500 CAD is deducted as taxes. Thereafter, the rent of the apartment could be around $1,500 CAD. Add to this the bills for telephone and internet and you pay around $200 CAD. Being an Indian, you have to send money to India as well. Hence, there are not much savings that one could do. He mentions that the salaries have remained mostly the same in the last couple of years but the prices of commodities have gone up significantly.
