Mahindra Scorpio Sunroof Leakage Test
The video has been uploaded by Her Garage on her YouTube channel. She is a famous YouTuber who makes content around automobiles. This time around, she takes her Scorpio Classic to an aftermarket car modification house. There is a lot of work being done on the SUV from the outside and inside. As a part of that, she has got two sunroofs installed on her SUV, one for the front passengers and one for the rear passengers. Both of them are some distance away from one another just like the dual-pane sunroofs that we see on some premium vehicles.

To check the leakage, they park the SUV outdoors and it is raining. But to mimic the pressure of the waterfall, at least to some extent, they decide to fill canisters of water and have a man throw it while standing atop the roof. He does that for both sunroofs and the YouTuber is sitting and recording from the inside. There was no water inside the cabin at all. Apart from that, they also take the SUV for pressure washing where a man takes the pressure pipe and hits the sunroof with water at high pressure.

Not Advisable to Park Car Under Waterfall
However, the results remain the same. Now, this doesn’t mean that no leakage will be there is any Mahindra Scorpio but it gives you an idea that installing a sunroof is a professionally adopted process. These are tested for such scenarios. Nevertheless, there can still be certain cases where the rubber used to seal the sunroof from the edges comes off allowing water to seep in. Hence, it is not advisable to park the car under a waterfall for long periods of time anyway.
