The Tata Harrier Facelift is said to come with a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. It will borrow design elements from the EV concept shown at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo.
The Tata Harrier is among the most popular mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. It has received several new features in the recent past. Now, Tata Motors is all set to launch an updated Harrier. It is expected to come with the new 1.5 L TGDi petrol engine (shown at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo). In terms of design, the facelifted model will borrow design elements from the EV concept shown at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo. Let’s look at the updates expected on the Tata Harrier Facelift.

Tata Harrier Facelift to Offer Petrol Option
The Tata Harrier Facelift will be powered by a four-cylinder turbo petrol engine with a power output of 170 bhp at 5,000 rpm and a peak torque of 280 Nm at 2,000 – 3,500 rpm. It has features like dual cam phasing, a variable oil pump, and an integrated exhaust manifold in the cylinder head. The new petrol engine has a water-cooled variable geometry turbocharger, redesigned valve trains, and timing chains. Additionally, the aluminum design boosts efficiency and economy.
The company might also use this engine in the upcoming mid-size Tata Curvv, the revamped Safari, and the 2025-slated ICE version of the Tata Sierra. However, the Tata Harrier Facelift will also get a 2.0L turbo diesel engine (seen on the seven-seater Safari) with 6-speed manual and automated transmission options. It offers a power output of 168 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The updated diesel engine complies with the more stringent BS6 Phase II pollution requirements.

To Offer Features Like ADAS
Recently, the company added ADAS and a new Dark Red Edition as an update. However, it still looks the same. The new model is said to come with an EV-inspired design. The company showcased the EV concept at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo. Tata’s ADAS system includes features like forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, high beam assist, rear collision warning, door open alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change alert.

The recently launched Tata Harrier 2023 Dark Red Edition has a starting price of Rs 21.77 lakh. The standard Harrier comes with starting price of Rs 15 lakh – Rs 24.07 lakh. It comes with the much-anticipated ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), six airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, and more. The company also launched a new 2023 Dark Red Editions of the Safari. The 7-seater version comes with a starting price of Rs 22.61 lakh. The 6-seater version costs Rs 22.71 lakh.
