In a shocking case, a Volvo XC90 catches fire while moving on the Delhi-Meerut Highway. Volvo is known for being the safest car company on the planet. It introduced the safety belts in cars and refused to patent the technology so that the entire humanity could reap the benefits of it. Subsequently, it announced that the top speed on their every car will be limited to 180 km/h. The aim is that no one should ever die in a Volvo. However, there are instances that are just unfortunate and no one has control over them.

The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents as well as road safety. This time around, a strange case has emerged where a moving luxury SUV caught fire without any accident. As per the information in the video, this incident has been reported from the Delhi-Meerut Highway. A family was travelling in a Volvo XC90 when there was a weird smell.

The driver stopped the car on the side of the road. Suddenly, smoke started emerging from under the bonnet and the family jumped out of the car swiftly. Within a few moments, the front section of the SUV was engulfed in flames. The exact reason for this still remains unknown. What is important is the fact that the driver applied the presence of mind to stop the car and get everyone out. By the time the fire brigade arrived on the scene, the luxury SUV was reduced to ashes.

It comes powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system that makes a healthy 300 hp and 420 Nm of peak power and torque.
