Skoda India has launched two more variants in the Skoda Rapid Lineup in India. Skoda Rapid is one of the most popular products from Skoda India which has taken the sales chart of the Skoda India in upward direction. The Rapid is a re-badged version of its German sibling Volkswagen Vento which is much behind in sales numbers as compared to Rapid. Interestingly, a more lucrative pricing and more value for money packaging of Rapid has helped Skoda achieve the success story with the Rapid in India.
Now to make the Rapid an even better offering, Skoda India has added two more trim levels from earlier three trim levels making the total to 5. Earlier lineup which was launched contained entry level Active, mid level Ambition and top end Elegance trim. But now, Skoda has added one two more variants, Active Plus which lies between Active and Ambition and Ambition Plus which is placed between the Ambition and top and Elegance. The Active plus package comes at a premium of Rs. 19,000 over the Active and Ambition plus comes at the price premium of Rs. 31,000 over the Ambition in both petrol and diesel.
This move of bridging the gap between the entry and mid variant and mid and top end variant will help Skoda offer more options to its customers. These variants bring some additional features which add more value at some additional price.
