All of the global markets are eagerly awaiting the 2012 Chevrolet Beat a.k.a Chevrolet Spark (known globally as Spark) which is to make its official debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Though we were expecting the official images of the new Beat to show up after its debut, interestingly the pictures are out way ahead of the Paris Motor Show and we are highly content to be able to present them to our readers.
The new model has been caught testing a couple of times on the Indian turf. It is expected that Chevrolet India will launch 2012 Chevrolet Beat Facelift in India before Diwali in November 2012. It completely resembles the facelift model we see in the images.
Not a largely changed front face though, the car features some remarkable changes. The most noticeable improvements include a new grille, redesigned sharper front bumper with new air intakes, restyled fog lamps with chrome surrounds. Coming to the rear the car features revised tail lamps, spoiler mounted third tail light. Another highline feature is the all new 15 inch alloy wheels.
Going to the cabin of the 2012 Chevrolet Beat, once again a number of improvements will be there which are as follows:
- A new instrument cluster
- Increased storage space in dashboard
- New upholstery
Under the hood of the 2012 Chevrolet Beat will be the same 1.0 litre and 1.2 litre engines that put out 69 BHP and 84 BHP of max power respectively. Although nothing is known about the cars Indian launch, we expect it to arrive in our market either by 2012 or in the first quarter of 2013.
Summarizing what I just said above, the new iteration of the Beat features only cosmetic changes. The company has made it even more appealing both from the outside and on the inside. However Chevrolet has left the engine line-up untouched which means it will put out the same power and peppy driving dynamics.
All that is left to see of the pricing of the new model 2012 Chevrolet Beat. If the company manages to keep the price close to ongoing model, it will be a great deal as it has been but if the company raises the price, it will be a different story altogether. We will keep you posted on all the updates, stay tuned to Car Blog India.
