Mercedes Benz A class will be a volume generating car for the company. When the new 2013 A class was revealed it won hearts of many. According to Mercedes this new Baby Merc has already banged 40,000 booking in North America. The company has received the same response around the globe and expects the same from the Indian markets when it launches in India in early 2013. With the kind of response the Mercedes has decided to increase the production of the 2013 A class to 100,000 units starting from 2013-2016.This is something very promising. Both the Mercedes Benz plant where the A class is manufactured in Rastatt, Germany and Kecskemet, Hungary are working at maximum capacity.
The 2013 A class looks ravishing from every angle, the headlamps, tail amps, Grill, curves one the side, each and every component gives the A class some character. Interiors are fresh too and will get Apple’s eye free.
In the International market the A class come in six different engine options including three petrol engines and three diesel engine. Mercedes has been in India from a long time now as an established luxury brand, and has always been one of the consumer’s choices.
These days the Mercedes is facing heat from its German rivals BMW and Audi. Lack of volume sales is one the major reason why Mercedes India is entering new segments like the Mercedes B Class sports tourer, upcoming A Class luxury hatchback and compact SUV GLA expected to launch in 2013. Mercedes will bet high on the A class as it will be the most affordable luxury cars from Mercedes Benz India stable. The engine options in India may not be as diversified and if the pricing goes right Mercedes will surely have a winner in its stable.
