In a rather weird turn of events, a 28-year-old doctor from Kancheepuram set his Mercedes A-Class Limousine on fire after having a fight with his girlfriend. The A-Class Limousine is the most affordable sedan in the carmaker’s lineup for India and retails in a price bracket of Rs 42-44 Lakh (ex-showroom). A few villagers, who were eyewitnesses to the incident, were quick to inform the police.

Mercedes A-Class Limousine Burnt Down in Anger
As per the police, the doctor owner of the Mercedes A-Class Limousine is one Kavin, 28 of Dharmapuri. He completed his MBBS from a private medical college in Kancheepuram and is an employee of a private hospital in the city. Meanwhile, he has been in a relationship with a student at his alma mater for over two years now. As per the police, the couple went for a drive in the premium sedan on Thursday night. Kavin parked his vehicle near a pond in Rajakulam village.
The couple chatted for a while and got into an argument. Next, Kavin, who couldn’t control his temper, took out a bottle and filled it with fuel from his car. He then sprinkled it all over the sedan and set it on fire even as his partner tried to stop him. Some villagers who were passing by saw the entire incident and immediately informed the local police as well as the fire station. A team of fire-fighters who reached the spot took almost an hour to put out the fire.

Doctor Taken Into Police Custody, Released on Bail
The Mercedes A-Class Limousine was completely destroyed in the fire. Kavin was taken into custody by the Kancheepuram Taluk police and later released on bail. Going by the details of this incident, there are really slim chances that the owner of the premium sedan would benefit from any sort of assistance from his vehicle’s insurance company.
