MG launched the Hector facelift for the Indian market at the Auto Expo 2023. Hector has been instrumental in making MG Motors popular in India. It has always pushed the envelope with the latest tech features and bold designs. The facelift version treads a similar path by offering the largest touchscreen on any car in India at 14 inches. Apart from that, the powertrain options remain identical to the pre-facelift model. Here are the details.

MG Hector Facelift
The front end has been significantly updated with the facelift. There is now a ginormous chrome-studded grille with a diamond pattern that extends down to the bumper which is also redesigned, the headlamp positioning remains the same but the housing has been redesigned, and there are sleek LED DRLs atop the bonnet. On the sides, there are no changes to Hector. At the rear, the facelifted Hector gets connected LED taillamps with Hector lettering on the bootlid, chrome garnished bumper with dual-exhaust tips also finished in chrome.

Interior and Features
The main highlight of the interior layout of the Hector is the portrait-styled 14-inch touchscreen infotainment display that now comes with over 75 connected car features and over 50 voice command functions, a digital key, Level 2 ADAS functions, an all-new dashboard with a leather top, ambient lighting, a fully-digital instrument cluster, electrically-adjustable front seats, and many such new features in addition to the already existing ones.

Specs
The engine options for the MG Hector facelift stay the same as the current model. These include a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre oil-burner and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. The latter is available with DCT and CVT options but the diesel motor is available only with a 6-speed manual unit. The petrol mill offers 143 PS and 250 Nm, while the diesel engine produces 170 hp and 350 Nm. The prices range from Rs 14.72 lakh to Rs 21.72 lakh for the 5-seater, Rs 20.79 lakh to Rs 22.42 lakh for the 6-seater and Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 22.42 lakh, ex-showroom for the 7-seat version.
