Tata Motors has finally introduced the new version of its Yodha pickup truck. The facelifted model is being highlighted in a new TVC.
Tata Motors is among the more popular automobile brands in India. Its offerings like the Nexon and Tiago have been widely appreciated by the car buying lot. Meanwhile, its commercial vehicle range has been as popular as ever. Among the newer additions to the CV range is the Tata Yodha 2.0 pickup truck. Recently, the carmaker released a new TVC of the facelifted version of the highly popular pickup truck to highlight its rugged nature.

TVC Showcases Rugged Nature of Pickup
As you can see in the video above, the Tata Yodha 2.0 Pickup Truck features an improved exterior design. In the TVC, the new model is challenged with the task of crossing a river. Two men are transporting cement to a remote village. However, the bridge across the river is still under construction. While the co-pilot loses hope, the driver stays confident about the pickup truck’s capabilities and replies, “We have the Yodha”. Before we know it, the pickup truck crosses the river, and the cement is delivered. The Tata Yodha 2.0 Pickup Truck becomes a star and school children take a selfie with it.
Tata Yodha 2.0 Pickup Truck Specs
The Tata Yodha 2.0 Pickup Truck comes in two options – a 2.0 (single-cab) and EX Crew Cab (double-cab). Both variants are available with rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options. The 2.2-liter four-cylinder DI diesel engine outputs a maximum power of 100 PS and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The new pickup truck comes with relatively basic mechanical characteristics. Both variants come with leaf spring suspension and steel wheels.

The Tata Yodha 2.0 sports a new three-piece metal bumper with a silver-colored skid plate. There is also a new front grille with a chrome-finished slab in the upper portion. In terms of dimensions, the new pickup truck is 5350mm long, 1860mm wide, and 1810mm tall. It has a ground clearance of 210mm and comes with 16-inch tire options. The company claims that the Tata Yodha 2.0 has a payload capacity of 1200 – 1700 kg. It comes with a kerb weight of 3840 kg.

Interior
On the inside, the redesigned Tata Yodha features a grey-colored theme on the dashboard and door panels. The parking brake lever has been placed on the driver’s side, to the right. The steering wheel features a tilt-adjustable three-spoke design with manual air conditioning and a 1-DIN audio system in the center. The company has also added side stairs that are placed beneath the side doors. Additionally, Tata Yodha 2.0 comes with a deck bed with covers. It can be opened from all three sides.
Tata Motors’ commercial automobile wing has been quite successful in the Indian market. In September this year, it launched the Intra V20 bi-fuel and Intra V50 pickup trucks. All three pickups offer the lowest total cost of ownership in their category. The company claims that the new pickup trucks are designed to help small businesses. These can be quite useful in the daily tasks in the agriculture, poultry, and dairy sectors. Additionally, Tata Motors hopes to aid in the delivery requirements of the FMCG, e-commerce, and logistics sectors across the country.
