The car has same Mahindra Reva logo on the rear glass hatch and nothing much seems to have changed cosmetically. There were alloy wheels on the car and it looked pretty close to production model.
The new Reva E2O aka Reva NXR can go up to a distance of about 160 KMPH on one full charge and can do speeds in excess of 100 KMPH as per the media reports.

Mahindra & Mahindra is sincerely working on the launch of Reva NXR and as per the information the launch is scheduled to take place by November 2012. If the launch date is to be believed, there is not enough time left for the brand and during the last months it is supposed to be testing the NXR.
With no surprise the manufacturer is indeed testing the vehicle and recently the NXR was spotted on the outskirts of Bangalore. Unlike the previous encounters, this time one of the fellow blogs, CarToq, managed to get some clear pictures of the car and a little more information as well.
The Reva NXR is evidently bigger than the previous model. It is a two-door model that can accommodate four persons comfortably. The body is made up of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic which is tough and can resist impacts. A glass hatch is provided at the rear and it has large panel gaps which could be present since it is a test mule. Exterior features include projector headlamps, a large Audi type grille, extremely simple rectangular tail lamps, Mahindra Veritowheels and tyres, Maruti Swift type door pull handles.
On the interior the car has colour combination of greys and the most interesting thing about the instrument panel is the blue back-lit digital display. All the essential information such as battery charge, battery usage, drive selection, range, speed and distance is digitally presented on the blue display. Unlike the previous Reva, the drive selector in the NXR is place on the floor and it looks like a gear shift.
At the rear the passengers get enough legroom which is a significant improvement over its predecessor. Another good change is the front manual window winders that replace the older sliding windows. The car now has a set of two wipers unlike the previous one big wiper. The AC vents are borrowed from Verito and even a big compressor has been installed for more effective cooling.
Under the hood it sports a constant drive motor that generates 55 Nm of peak torque and 17.5 BHP of max power and the same can attain top speed of 85 km/hr. Lithium ion battery stack could be used as a power source on the production model. The test mule had covered more than 50,000 kilometers on its original battery pack which means the stack has a good life. On a full charge the car can cover around 120 kilometers and takes 4 hours to get fully charged. As mentioned above the car is expected to hit the showrooms by November this year and is expected to be priced around Rs. 4 lakh.
