On one hand Audi has won the 24 hours Le Mans race with all the top three positions in its hand for the fourth time, while on the other it has presented an all new sports SUV variant of the recently revised Audi Q5 2013 model. Named as Audi SQ5, it’s a Q5 with an S, where S translates to more power and torque than the standard Q5.
Interestingly it’s a TDI diesel model and the very first of its kind in the history of Audi. With a 3.0 litre unit, the SQ5 delivers 313 BHP of max power and 650 Nm of peak torque between 1450 and 2800 RPM and definitely the credit is to be given to the two turbocharger units installed in the car.

The powerful TDI engine uses a twin-turbo configuration where the turbo units are connected in series. In fact the car is so special that cylinder head cooling, the timing and lift of the intake cam shafts, the pistons, their oil-jet cooling and the piston pins have been specifically designed for this special sports SUV. The engine is mated to an eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

Coming to the performance of the car, it can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds which is brilliant for a car of this size. The top speed is electronically controlled at 250 km/hand the SUV delivers 14 kilometers per litre of fuel efficiency.
Some really cool bodily add-ons include 20 inch 5 spoke alloy wheels, black brake calipers with S badges, platinum grey single frame grille with galvanized double bars in aluminium-look finish, aluminium-look exterior mirrors, roof spoiler, modified bumpers etc. The company also offers options 21 inch alloy wheels.
