- Toyota introduces the Innova Hycross in our market with an SUV-ish stance.
- It will be sold alongside the existing Innova Crysta MPV.
- There will be only petrol and petrol hybrid engines on offer.
The road presence of the Toyota Innova Hycross and Crysta has been compared in this latest video. The Hycross has started arriving at the dealerships prior to the launch. There are a ton of changes to the mechanicals of the Hycross compared to the Crysta. The new Hycross will be based on Toyota’s TNGA-C platform with an FWD setup while the Crysta is based on the iMV platform with an RWD setup. The wheelbase of the Hycross will be higher than the Crysta owing to the monocoque construction in comparison to the ladder-on-frame chassis in the case of the Crysta.
