Truck Driver Income in the UK
The video has been posted by Laddi Sahota on YouTube. He is an Indian truck driver in the UK. He explains the entire process of how anyone from India could end up earning a decent salary. Truck driving requires one to have a dedicated driver’s licence. Depending on the towing capacity and size of the trucks, various licences are issued. Class 1 is the minimum criterion for a small truck. Thereafter, one has to be mindful of the company he/she engages with.

Income
The salary depends on various factors. This includes the type of truck one drives, day or night shifts, distance covered, type of material transported by the truck, company you are engaged with and more. However, if we talk about the average, one can expect a salary between £10 and £15 per hour. This could increase for special occasions like weekends or night shifts. If one works for 20 hours a week, which is standard even as a student, a salary of £200 to £300 is expected. This translates to around £800 to £1,200 per month. When converted to INR, this amounts to Rs 64,000 to Rs 1.10 lakh.
