Hero MotoCorp has updates its official website with all the details and pricing of Hero Ignitor Motorcycle which it has revealed at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi earlier. The Hero Ignitor has been priced at Rs. 55,900 Ex-showroom Delhi for Drum brake and self start variant with the on-road price to be approximately Rs. 61,720 while the Disk brake version is priced at Rs. 57,900 ex-showroom Delhi and on-road priced of Rs. 63.870.
Hero Ignitor seems to be highly inspired by Honda CBF Stunner in terms of design. Both these bikes use same engine and similar technology however, comparing the engine output, it seems that Hero Ignitor is tuned for delivering peak torque at lower RPM level of 5000 compared to 6500 RPM in Stunner which is good since delivery of torque at lower RPM improves the performance of the bike in congested traffic. Interestingly, Hero has priced Ignitor above the Stunner.
Hero Ignitor Specifications and Features
Ignitor is powered by an air cooled 125 CC Engine which produces 11 BHP of power at 8000 RPM and 11 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM. It comes with self start option as standard with digital ignition system with carbureted engine. The Ignitor has a 5 speed gearbox with wet multi-clutch type system. It has a hydraulic telescopic suspension at front and conventional spring suspension system at the rear. The front disk brake measures 240 mm and rear has a drum brake of 130 mm diameter. It uses 17x 1.85 cast wheel at front and 17 x 2.15 cast wheel at rear. The tyre size is 80/100 x17 at front and 100/90 x17 at rear, both tubeless for superior puncture protection. In terms of dimensions, the Ignitor measures 2010 mm in length, 710 mm in width, 1095 mm in height, 1270 mm in wheelbase and has 175 mm of ground clearance.
