The recently launched Mahindra Scorpio N is available with 4XPLOR 4×4 hardware that makes it quite capable off the road
Mahindra Scorpio N has been a runaway success with the waiting period extending all the way to the second half of 2024. Meanwhile, the first few customers that have received the vehicle are completely impressed with its performance as well as street presence. Marketed as the ‘Big Daddy’ of SUVs, the Scorpio N surely punches above its weight. In fact, it has time and again been compared with some costlier SUVs such as the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner. Today, though, we can see a Scorpio N driving comfortably through sand dunes along with Toyota Land Cruiser and Jeep Wrangler.

Toyota Land Cruiser Damages Bumper
The video you see on this page comes from the Youtube channel of Kasam Desert Safari Jaisalmer. Now, this Jaisalmer is one of the few places in the country that give you an opportunity to go dune bashing in your SUV. Already, there are several groups that organize such off-road expeditions and enable SUV owners to enjoy their rides to the fullest of their potential. Recently, a Mahindra Scorpio N went dune bashing in the company of Toyota Land Cruiser and Jeep Wrangler. Please note that the latter are arguably among the most capable off-roaders in the world.
As you can see, the Mahindra Scorpio N easily makes its way through the sand dunes. The SUV looks as adept as the two more sophisticated off-roaders in its company. Also, it’s worth mentioning here that the latest SUV from the Indian carmaker comes with HT rubber from the factory. While the video doesn’t show many details, it does show the Land Cruiser damaging its rear bumper on one of the drops. The Jeep Wrangler, though, sailed through the course comfortably.

Mahindra Scorpio N Specs
While the Toyota Land Cruiser and the Jeep Wrangler are thoroughbred off-roaders, the Mahindra Scorpio N isn’t as capable. The major issue with the new SUV is its limited approach and departure angles. In spite of this, it’s clearly as capable as the two costlier SUVs on the sand dunes. The latest Scorpio is on sale with two engine options. The 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion petrol unit is available only in 2WD format. The diesel motor, though, is available with the 4XPLOR 4×4 hardware. Both engine options are available with manual as well as automatic transmissions.
