Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL) has launched its powerful and sporty hatchback Limited Edition Fiat Punto 90HP Sport at the newly opened Fiat Caffe in Pune, Maharashtra on 18th May 2012. This is Fiat’s second Caffe in India after first one which opened in New Delhi during the Auto Expo 2012 in January 2012. The Fiat Caffe at Pune has been opened on a 6300 Sq. ft. area with 70 feed frontage for a premium feel where customers can enjoy a cup of coffee and experience the Fiat Cars up close and personal before they make their buying decision.
Coming back to the limited edition hatch, the Punto 90HP Sport is priced at Rs. 7.36 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi which is a premium pricing compeered to the other models of Fiat Punto in India. It is powered by a powerful 92 BHP Multijet diesel engine which delivers a fuel economy of 20.5 KMPL. It comes loaded with premium features. It has been launched in three colour options – White, black and Red.
The limited Edition Punto 90HP Sport features some of the premium features like chrome accented interiors, red-stich on seats for sporty appeal. The gear knob and gear cover are leather wrapped. There are attractive graphics using Body Decals on side and rear with Sport Branding, it also comes loaded with special sporty aluminum alloy wheels with widest tyres in the segment, sporty pedals, decal graphics on the outside rear view mirrors, chrome exhaust tip, and special limited edition door sills. As a part of the standard equipment, it gets dual SRS airbags, ABS and EBD, Automatic climate control, Bluetooth Equipped Integrated audio system with CD/MP3 player with USB support.
Fiat India is working hard to boost its premium car maker image in India by staring the expansion of its dealership and service network in India. Fiat has finally planned to handle its distribution sales and service on its own independent of Tata Motors as the image of Tata Motors in India is not as premium when it comes to passenger vehicle as it is more popular with the commercial segment customers.
