It is not uncommon in our country for parents to hand their vehicles to their kids and this looks like one such scenario.
This video of a kid driving a Mahindra Scorpio and performing wheelspins has taken the internet by storm. We have seen, time and again, how some parents are eager to hand the vehicle to their young kids. We can’t find a valid reason for doing that. Nevertheless, it could be quite dangerous, not just for the people sitting in the car but also for the car itself. For instance, this video shows how the kid is doing wheelspins which will cause wear and tear of the tyre.

Kid Driving Mahindra Scorpio
This video has been uploaded by Vicky badshah on YouTube and has over 6.5 Million views. In it, a black Mahindra Scorpio (last-gen) is seen on a field full of dirt. There is a child in the driver’s seat who is clearly too young to have a driver’s licence. He is accelerating the car quite aggressively while keeping the brake pedal/hand brake pressed. As a result, the wheels are spinning but the SUV is not moving. There is dust everywhere as a result of the wheelspin. Finally, the kid drives the vehicle forward. He plays around for a while forwarding and reversing the SUV.

While we understand that this looks quite harmless since it is being done in an open field, some people have the tendency to hand over the vehicle to a child on the road with traffic. That is not the most prudent way to make your kid learn how to drive a car. It jeopardizes the safety of the kid and others on the road. We urge our readers to follow traffic regulations and take responsible decisions while driving. That will ensure that our roads become safer than they are today.
