Social media and reality TV has made things very different in today’s world. There are millions of enthusiast, mostly youth who love reality shows like Roadies with tasks, obstacles and challenges thrown at them. Thousands of participants across India thrive to enter the shows every season and the concept had really picked up really well. Indian youth are more and more connected with their friends and peer group using social tools like Facebook and Twitter. These social platforms are increasingly becoming important for Indian brands who are reaching out to more and more customers, fans and potential-customers via these mediums. In order to celebrate its 1 Million Facebook Fans of Tata Nano official Page, Tata Motors is organizing a special social drive event called the “Nano Drive with MTV” which consists of a 2000 Km journey over 20 days. There will be 4 teams or 4 members each selected for the same and they will drive Tata Nano on a 2000 Km route, which will be different for each team, on their journey these teams will overcome some obstacles and special tasks designed to make this journey challenging and fun.
This Special Nano Drive will be shared all the time with the one million fans of the Tata Nano on Facebook Page and other social platforms, MTV will also provide valuable viewership and youth viewers to this event. The registration for the drive are open on the official page here.
The ongoing model of Tata Nano, the Tata Nano 2012 is the second generation improved Tata Nano with improved suspension, more powerful engine, a top speed of 105 KMPH, fuel mileage of 25.4 KMPL and has one of the cleanest CO2 emissions among all cars in India. Tata Nano is the cheapest car in the world introduces by Tata in India and is hugely popular world over for its price point. Nano is also exported to some international markets and will be gradually sold in more countries.
Tata Motors is also testing a 2 Cylinder engine Tata Nano Diesel which is likely to make it to Tata dealerships by early 2013, the Nano Diesel will be powered by a fuel efficient CRDI Diesel engine which will deliver close to 40 KMPL on diesel fuel which will make it the cheapest running cost car in India. Tata motors is also working on Tata Nano CNG and a more powerful Tata Nano 800 CC Car which will be placed between the Tata Nano and Indica series to expand Tata’s portfolio in different small car segments in the long run.
