A new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 has been spotted in India yet again. It comes to us via the Carnet permit route. Also, it’s the first time a black-coloured LC300 has been seen on Indian roads. The LC300 is the latest iteration of the iconic Land Cruiser that has made a name for itself in the international market for decades. Prominent personalities from across the globe have had some model of the Land Cruiser since time immemorial. Now, the current-gen model commands a waiting period of around 4 years. However, people who already own one have the option of transporting it to foreign countries using the Carnet permit.

Land Cruiser LC300 Spotted in India with Carnet Permit
These images have been shared on Instagram by sceii841. There is a black LC300 in the images decorated with flowers. The massive front grille and sleek LED headlamps with DRLs inform that it belongs to the latest generation of the iconic SUV. As per the description of the post, this SUV was imported to Ahmedabad, Gujarat from Dubai. We have seen many other international models in India using the Carnet permit allowing vehicles to travel in other countries for a limited duration.

ATA Carnet
ATA Carnet refers to a Temporary Admission permit that allows anyone from any country to import or export non-perishable items without paying any tax or duty. It is a widely accepted international customs document that is not that hard to get. Its validity is 1 year from the date of issue. It even allows multiple entries into multiple countries in that 1 year. The ATA Carnet is jointly administered by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) through its World Chambers Federation.
