There are some incidents that are so unique and right, that they invoke appreciation from the general public on a large scale.
A tweet is doing rounds on the internet in which a traffic Police official challans another cop for not wearing a helmet properly in Bengaluru. Now, it isn’t every day that one witnesses this. On the contrary, the officials are often criticized for being generous with their own department officials and not catching them enough for breaking the traffic laws. But this is a welcome incident where the laws were given preference over everything else.

Traffic Police Challans a Cop
This tweet has been shared by the RT Nagar Traffic BTP. In the image, a traffic police officer is seen with his machine out of which the challan receipt is seen coming out. As per the information, the culprit is also a cop and has been fined for not wearing the helmet properly. There are tons of people who wear helmets just partially. As per the regulations, that attracts a fine of Rs 1,000 or more and is illegal. The aim of the helmet is to protect you and if half of it remains open, the entire purpose is defeated and the safety is compromised.

Twitter was flooded with comments on this post. There were people who were appreciative of this act. But there were also some users who thought that this entire incident looks to be scripted. The fact that the cop getting challaned happily poses for the photo seems a bit weird and out of place. That is the reason why people are calling it a publicity stunt. But there is another lot of people who buys into this and appreciate that Police are trying to ensure that no one is above the law.

Equal Treatment for Everyone
Whatever the case may be, we just want the traffic police officials to be just and treat everyone equally. That is the only way to ensure road safety in our country. Indian drivers are infamous for flouting traffic rules on a daily basis. If the Police become strict, we will witness a reduction in the number of people breaking traffic rules. What are your thoughts on the matter?
