It is certainly not uncommon for rich people to try weird ways to avoid paying hefty taxes and using a fake registration is definitely not beyond the realm of possibility.
In a weird incident, actor/producer Sanjay Kapoor was spotted with a car that might have a fake registration for tax evasion purposes. Now, these are still accusations and no concrete evidence is found yet. However, things did get pretty interesting after someone shared a screenshot of the registration data that says that it belongs to a BMW M6 car whereas the actor was spotted with the same number plate on his BMW 7-Series.

Sanjay Kapoor Tax Evasion Mystery
The YouTube Shorts video clip catches Sanjay Kapoor with his wife Maheep Kapoor. The duo are spotted posing right next to the white BMW 7-Series with the number plate reading MH 01 DB 5458. Interestingly, running this registration plate through the portal throws up BMW M6 as the vehicle. This is a bit weird since the name also appears as Bayview Projects LLP. This is Boney Kapoor’s film production company. Could it be a classic case of fake registration or the fact that he uses the same registration plate for 2 vehicles?

Either way, the aim looks like tax evasion. One could imagine the kind of taxes such luxury vehicles incur. However, we will have to wait for the official inquiry and investigation to ascertain anything. Recently, someone also pointed out that the Aston Martin that Ranveer Singh was driving had expired insurance. It was later discovered that the same was not true. However, correct data was not available on the portal. Unfortunately, such incidents are more common than you might think.

BMW 7-Series
BMW 7-Series is the flagship sedan offering from BMW India. It comes with a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder diesel and a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine. While the former produces 265 hp and 620 Nm, the latter belts out 340 hp and 450 Nm. The acceleration time from 0-100 km/h with the petrol unit is 5.6 secs.
