This is a weird aftermarket modification that made a reasonably practical car into a car that one just can’t live with.
In this weird attempt to make a 5-door regular Suzuki Swift into a 3-door hot-hatch, all the practicality is lost. This is particularly funny because this happened in an international market where the 3-door version of the Swift already exists. Maruti Swift is not only a popular car in India but also enjoys decent success in many international markets, where it’s simply called the Suzuki Swift. However, aftermarket car modification houses are always eager to showcase how competent and creative they can get. This is a prime example of that.

Conversion of 5-door Swift to 3-door
This image shows the creativity that the aftermarket players possess. A yellow Swift was chosen for this project. The image shows that the rear door has been taken off and the area around it is being filled with the material to ensure that there are no marks left that could inform that there was ever a door there. Looking at the final product, we have to say that the execution has been quite impeccable. There are no gaps left on the body surface and it looks like it came factory-fitted with just 3-doors. H

The paint has also been done in such a way that there are no overlapping marks that could tell that it has been done later on. However, the catch is that the factory-fitted 5-door version has a slightly smaller front door to accommodate the rear door. But the original 3-door has a large front door. That is because the rear seat passengers also need to enter from the front itself. However, in this case here, the front door remains smaller and the rear door has been removed. What also prevents this car from becoming an exact replica of the actual 3-door version are the rear windows. The 3-door Swift comes with smaller rear windows without any quarter glass. This car, though, retains the original greenhouse, which makes the side profile look weird.

Reduced Practicality and Safety
This essentially renders the practicality hindered. Also, the 3-door version has appropriate seats that fold easily to allow the passengers to enter from the front. But this is a regular version. So, there is no way for the passengers to get into the rear without struggling. Hence, in hindsight, this might well have been executed well from the exterior, but the internal practicality has been massively compromised. Moreover, such modifications might even compromise the crash safety. Making any major change to the body shell of a vehicle is sure to effect its crash worthiness. In such a scenario, the modification made to this Swift might make things a bit more challenging if it meets with a crash. That is why this particular conversion might not have been the best idea.
