The Yezdi Roadking was an iconic motorcycle in our market a couple of decades ago and this beautifully restored version highlights the reason why.
It is not all that often that one would come across a restored version of the 1995 Yezdi Roadking. But we could consider ourselves lucky as automobile aficionados that we get to experience a remarkable restoration by a fellow bike enthusiast. The Yezdi was in production in our market until 1996 right from the 70s. It was inspired by racing bikes from back in the day. However, it turned out to be a tourer bike in the country as people took a liking to its riding dynamics.

1995 Yezdi Roadking Restored
The video you see above is by Mundodi Vlogs on YouTube. Dhruva Mundodi is the creator of this beautiful restoration. He mentions that the bike was in a dilapidated condition. The electronic wires were bitten off by the rodents. Meanwhile, the chrome and other metallic elements had rust. The fuel tank had holes in it, the brake and clutch lever was useless and there was hardly any useable part in the bike. Moreover, the spare parts of this bike are difficult to gather since the production stopped over 2 decades ago. People had stocked the spares of the Yezdi and sold them at a premium.

Nevertheless, Dhruva went ahead to restore this bike. Therefore, he managed to source all the spare parts including headamps, chrome bits, electronics, and repaired parts like the fuel tank and engine. Finally, he managed to complete the arduous task and the final product is a premium retro bike that looks almost brand new. However, he mentions that it’s not useful as a daily bike. This, because it must be taken care of in order to prolong its lifespan.

Exhaust Note
This represents the tagline for this restoration – ‘Forever Bike Forever Value’. In the end, Dhruva also shows how to start this bike with its unique feature of using the gear lever as the kick starter which was prevalent back in the day.
