It seems like the dark clouds over Skoda’s latest products are looming as a parked Slavia is engulfed by fire.
A Skoda Slavia caught fire while in the parking as the owner shares the horror tale in this video. Slavia is the second product under Skoda’s India 2.0 initiative after the Kushaq. The latter suffered from the EPC error for the longest time and the customers were frustrated. Now, a Slavia owner, who is a Skoda enthusiast, has faced a horrific incident. In this video, he shares his ordeals with an unfortunate and inexplicable incident.

Skoda Slavia Catches Fire in Parking
The video has been uploaded by Car Blogger on YouTube. It captures the owner of the Slavia who explains what happened in depth. He mentions that after driving home the Slavia one day, he parked it in the garage at around 10 PM. At around 3 AM, the watchman of the society woke him up informing him that his car was on fire. Needless to say, he was shocked at the fact that the car caught fire 4 hours after it was parked.

The parking lot is in the basement of the society and on the floor above the car, resides the owner. By the time he reached his vehicle, the entire front and rear end were destroyed by the flames. There was a fire extinguisher in the parking lot and the owner used it too, but to avail. The car was already claimed by the fire. He shows the damage on the car and the entire body is totalled and burnt. One can’t even easily recognise the car model.

Finally, the fire brigade was called and they were able to douse the fire completely. But by then, the car was beyond repair. The owner lodged an FIR and also initiated the Skoda dealership. They were supportive on the phone but asked the owner to take down the video from Twitter. He did so as he filed for the insurance claim too. After the entire process was done, he was eligible for the claim. However, he asked the viewers that they should think twice before buying a Skoda car since there seems to be an issue with this product. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Zac Hollis to Rescue!
Replying to the aggrieved Skoda Slavia owner, Zac Hollis, who recently completed his tenure as the Brand Director, assured that his team is looking for a replacement car. He wrote – “I have regularly discussed this with my team and I understand that this is resolved and the team are now searching for a replacement car. Please write to me if this is not the case. Zachary.hollis@skoda-auto.co.in.” On being asked about the status of the resolution, the senior executive replied,”I can assure you it will be resolved as I have personally discussed your case regularly with my staff and I will talk to them again today.”
