There have been quite a few instances of the Bullet catching fire while riding causing a sense of lack of security and safety.
In this video, a Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is seen engulfed in fire on the road. Bullet is arguably the most popular tourer bike in the country. Enthusiastic riders willing to go on long trips to the mountains or across the country often choose the Bullet as their preferred ride. Part of the reason why it is so is that it carries a certain legacy of being a vintage and retro bike. It retains most of its mechanical and design elements from the yesteryears. Its road presence and trademark exhaust note continue to attract new customers even today.

Cause Yet to be Ascertained
The exact reason for this is not known. Going by the looks of the bike, it seems to be an older BS3 or BS4 model. It doesn’t look like there have been any aftermarket modifications on the bike. However, it is entirely possible that there could be internal short circuits that could lead to such episodes. There could also be cases of oil leakages due to the canister in the bikes slowly accumulating gases in the system. Eventually, that could cause fires. Hence, if you experience anything out of the ordinary, make sure to approach the local mechanic to get it checked immediately.
