It is not all that often that one gets to witness India’s first supercar DC Avanti in any sort of drag race competition.
This video shows the first time a DC Avanti goes against a Hyundai Creta in a drag race. Avanti, as some of you might recall, is India’s first supercar designed by the legendary car modification house DC. It is, by far, the most popular car shop for any sort of customization to any car. Over the years, DC has transformed cars ranging from budget segments to luxury supercars. Let us see how well it performs in this drag race, which looks quite lopsided from the beginning.

DC Avanti vs Hyundai Creta Drag Race
The YouTuber claims that this is the first drag race involving the Avanti as it is not easy to find too many of these on the roads. However, once you take a look at its construction, it becomes pretty apparent that a lot of thought has gone into making it as aerodynamically sound as possible. The centre of gravity is quite low and the tyres are broad ensuring great stability even around the corners. The YouTuber mentions that it has the Renault-source engine. In the first attempt, the driver of the Avanti delays a little at the time of the launch but still manages to smoke the Creta without any fuss.

It became quite clear that these two products belong to a different league altogether. For the second attempt, they decided to give Creta a 4-second lead. Despite that, the Avanti came from behind in no time and overtook the SUV to emerge victorious. The supercar credentials of the Avanti turned out to be too hot to handle for the Creta even after giving it some advantage.
