Honda SIEL India Ltd. has announced the price increase in their cars officially on 21 March 2012 in India. The prices of all the cars starting from Honda Brio to the largest Honda Accord have gone up because of the new excise duty rates applicable after the Budget 2012-13 in India. Looking at the price increase which has been announced, it seems like that the additional excise duty burden is almost fully passed on to the car buyers ad the price increase is approximately the same as the rise in duty in terms of percentage.
New Price List Of Honda Brio After Budget 2012-13
Prices of Honda Brio have increased between Rs. 4000 to Rs. 10,000 after the Budget 2012-13. The price increase is mild about 1% on the entry level and first 3 variant and comparatively higher about 2% on the top end V MT variant. The new price range of Honda Brio Prices is between Rs. 3.99 Lakhs to Rs. 5.20 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
New Price List Of Honda Jazz After Budget 2012-13
Prices of Honda Jazz has been hiked by about Rs. 15,000 for all three variants, the new price ranges between Rs. 5.75 Lakhs to Rs. 6.31 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.

Interestingly, there is no price increase announced for the Honda CR-V which is a clean indication that the new Honda CRV 2012 launch is India is expected soon so Honda SIEL does not want to impede the sales of CR-V in India which is already not too high.
