The damage to the body in the visuals is quite apparent. The door panels, windshields, bumpers, bonnet, tailgate, etc are all crumpled. In fact, the tyre along with the axle came out. However, the side pillars withstood the impact and ensured that the damage does not enter the cabin. The two passengers were wearing seatbelts which is what kept them pinned to the seats. As a result, both of them escaped with just minor scratches which is almost unthinkable considering the kind of impact this accident had on the SUV.
