It is only natural that the vehicles on the roads would eventually end up in a tough spot every now and then and this time it is the Mahindra Scorpio N.
The first accident of the Mahindra Scorpio N has been reported post price reveal. The SUV has been launched recently and received a warm reception. It has all the modern features, powertrains and technology along with the latest safety equipment. However, it has not yet been tested by the GNCAP. But going by other Mahindra products, it is safe to assume that it will score pretty highly on the test. For now, let us see how well it performed in this unfortunate incident.

This video has been posted on YouTube by Prateek Singh. He posts such content to raise awareness regarding the importance of buying cars with higher safety ratings. As per the information in this video, the driver of the Scorpio was test driving the vehicle in West Bengal. At the traffic lights, the driver was unable to apply brakes timely and pressed the accelerator instead. The SUV ended up hitting a Maruti Dzire from the back. Thankfully the speed was not too high to cause injury to anyone.

As far as the damages are concerned, the tail end of the Dzire has sustained some impact at the taillamps, bumper, boot and rear door. It looks like significant damage. On the other hand, the Scorpio N barely experienced any damage apart from a bruised bumper. This goes to show that the Scorpio N might also be headed to a high safety rating when the GNCAP decides to test it.
