Launched recently, the new 2022 Maruti Brezza is on sale in a price range of Rs 7.84-13.96 lakh (ex-showroom)
The second-gen Maruti Vitara Brezza has lost the Vitara moniker and has gone on sale recently simply as the Maruti Brezza. Available at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh, the new model is more feature-laden, looks a tad bit more modern, and even promises to be safer than before. However, unlike the first-gen model, which had to compete only with the Ford EcoSport initially, the new version has a long list of rivals. Among the most formidable is the Tata Nexon, which has been at the top of the segment sales charts for a while now. Among various highlights of the Tata model is the one-of-a-kind Dark Edition that looks very bold with the all-black color theme. An artist has now imagined a similar version based on the 2022 Maruti Brezza and, frankly, the black theme suits the new model to the T.

2022 Maruti Brezza Dark Edition
As you can see in the rendering, the artist has deleted all the chrome from a stock top-spec 2022 Maruti Brezza. Instead, an all-black colour treatment takes over and gives the B-SUV a decidedly bold look. Right from the dual-tone alloy wheels to the new grille and even the window line – each and every bit has been given an all-black treatment. The end result is a stealth-fighter-like appearance that makes the new offering quite attractive. Maruti Suzuki doesn’t seem to have any plan of launching this color theme anytime soon. But we feel that this treatment will surely appeal to all those who prefer a discreetly bold appearance over the blingy chrome-laden dual-tone look that is quite popular in the market.

Specs and Safety
Powering the 2022 Maruti Brezza is the same 1.5-liter K10C petrol engine that is available on the updated Ertiga and XL6. This Dual-VVT Dualjet motor produces a maximum power of 103 bhp and a peak torque of 137 Nm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. A big update over the previous model is the availability of a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission instead of the 4-speed unit offered earlier. The auto ‘box even offers steering-mounted paddle shifters. There are four trims on offer – LXI, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The automatic transmission is available on the top 3 variants.
