Hyundai is aiming to expand its N Line division in India and the Creta N Line has made its debut in the Brazilian market already.
WE have already seen the spy images of the Hyundai Creta N Line being tested on the roads. Now, the sporty version of the mid-size SUV has made its debut in the Brazilian market and we can get a fair idea of what it could look like for our market. Creta is already the most popular mid-size SUV in our market posting healthy sales consistently. Hyundai wants to offer a slightly sportier version of the Creta to challenge the newcomers in the segment like VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Hyundai Creta N Line
We have named this version the Dark Edition because of its uncanny resemblance to it. The overall design is identical to the existing model in India with a few minor aesthetic changes. The front grille is all-black now with a slightly different design pattern, there seems to be a silver sid plate to make the SUV look more rugged, the front bumper is redesigned, the minor line on the bonnet adds character to the fascia, and the headlamp setup remains somewhat similar. On the sides, the wheel arches are now more pronounced and the alloy wheel design is quite unique.

The side pillars are blacked out and there is a silver/chrome side body skirting. Roof rails are also visible with a floating roof effect. The tail section features quite a few styling differences with the bumper extending up to the boot lid with curves to give a distinct look to the rear, the ‘T’ shaped chrome finish on the rear skid plate and the dual exhaust pipes accentuate the sporty theme of the SUV. There is a shark fin antenna and a roof-mounted spoiler at the rear.

The former develops 120 hp and 172 Nm while the latter developed 164 hp and 202 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. However, the Indian variant might get the 1.4-litre turbo petrol that outputs 140 hp and 242 Nm of peak power and torque. This comes mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox for maximum performance. Let us wait and watch when Hyundai takes the wraps off the Creta N Line in India.
