A rashly driven Mahindra Scorpio hit a Royal Enfield while cutting between lanes. Luckily, the motorcycle rider escaped a major injury
Rash driving is a peril that most of us road users witness on a daily basis. There are various laws to check poor driving etiquettes but the need of the hour is strict enforcement of these laws to discourage motorists from driving rashly. A recent incident involving a Mahindra Scorpio and a Royal Enfield is yet another example of how mindless driving can put another road user at a great risk.

The incident was caught by the action camera of a Youtube vlogger who was driving on the same road. As seen in the short footage, a white-coloured Mahindra Scorpio bearing Delhi registration plates speeds past the Youtuber and cuts into the middle lane. In the process, the RHS rear-end of the SUV hits an unsuspecting Royal Enfield rider moving at a sedate pace. Probably oblivious to the impact, the SUV speeds away. On the other hand, the motorcyclist immediately loses grip over the tarmac, gets disbalanced and falls. The rider is thrown off the motorcycle as his two-wheeler hits the guard rail at the side of the road. The rider is seen getting up as soon as he hits the guard rail.
Luckily, it looks like the rider of the Royal Enfield has not sustained any major injury in this mishap. However, things could have got a lot worse had there been another speeding vehicle travelling right behind the fallen rider. Moreover, the guard rail played a vital role in breaking the motion of the fallen motorcycle as well as the rider. On the other hand, it looks like the vlogger tried confronting the Mahindra Scorpio but to no avail. Once again, this accident highlights the perils of rash driving. It’s a clear example of how irresponsible behaviour on one’s part puts other road users to great risks.
