The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N has been revealed and the enthusiastic digital automobile designers are at it with some stunning iterations of the iconic SUV.
This black rendition is among the first digital iterations of the recently unveiled 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N. Having created a lot of buzz around it for the longest time, the ‘Big Daddy of SUVs’, as Mahindra is calling it, is finally here. The 2022 version of the Scorpio N will be sold in tandem with the already existing model. This makes it, in a way, a replacement for the XUV500 in our market. The design cues and modern cabin are reminiscent of the reincarnation of the XUV500.

Black Rendition of Mahindra Scorpio
There are quite a few modifications made to the SUV to make it more off-road focused. To begin with, the massive LED light bar unit at the top of the roof is a clear indication that this is designed to go on camping trips. Additionally, the luggage carrier at the top will be used to carry lots of stuff around. The front fascia has been de-chromed with a black grille, bumpers, radiator grille, a silver skid plate with utilitarian tow hooks, C-shaped LED DRLs surrounding the fog lamps and white projector LED headlamps. The bonnet line lends the SUV an upright stance.

On the sides, the wheel arches have been boldened to offer masculinity, the silver side body cladding gives a rugged appearance to protect the underbelly from scratches due to uneven terrains, the most prominent modifications on the sides are chunky black alloy wheels with off-roading wide tyres with appropriate treads, blacked-out door handles, ORVMs and side-pillars. The third quarter of the Scorpio represents the XUV500 type of window online.

Specs
The exact specs of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will be revealed only at the time of the official debut but it looks like the new SUV will share its engines and transmissions with the Thar. The entry-level diesel engine variant will offer 130 PS with a 2WD format but the higher variants could offer 150 PS with an optional 4WD. The petrol variant will be sold with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that will produce 150 PS. In all likelihood, the petrol version will be available only in 2WD format. Transmission choices for both the engine variants will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic unit. The prices could range between Rs 14 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom.
