Tata Motors has added a new XZS trim for the Harrier model. It comes with exclusive features of the Harrier XZ+.
The Tata Harrier XZS has been quietly launched in the Indian market. It is placed between the XZ and top-spec XZ+ variants. The new trim is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh-21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be available in both manual and automatic options. There is a Dark Edition as well. The new car is expected to have a lesser waiting period compared to other variants. The new SUV is powered by a 2-liter diesel engine that produces 170PS of power and 350Nm of torque. It can be paired with a standard 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes. It comes with features like 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You will also get a 6-way electrically-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support.
Additional features include automatic climate control, an air purifier, an 8.8-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch TFT instrument display, and a JBL sound system. You will also get LED Daytime Running Lamps and projector headlamps. The steering wheel and gear knob are leather-wrapped. Safety features on the Tata Harrier XZS include 6 airbags, hill descent control, off-road ABS, cruise control, traction control, ESC and hill-hold control, and rain-sensing wipers.

The price of Tata Harrier starts at Rs 14.65 Lakh. The top-end Tata Harrier XZA Plus Dark Edition AT comes with a price tag of Rs 21.95 Lakh. The price gap between the Harrier XZ and top-spec XZ+ trim is Rs 1.6 lakh. Most variants have a delivery timeline of about 10 weeks. The Tata Harrier XZS is expected to have a waiting period of around 30 days. The company is also offering dual-tone color options. Overall, the Tata Harrier XZS is a more affordable alternative to the XZ+ trim. However, you will miss features like ventilated seats and iRA-connected car technology.
