Hyundai Creta is staying quite ahead of its competition in India. It has sold more units than the Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and VW Taigun combined.
The Hyundai Creta s in its second generation now. It is one of the preferred choice for driving enthusiasts. The current-gen model is priced at Rs 10.16 lakh – Rs 17.87 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with features like panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, LED headlights/ tail lamps, a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech. As per the latest sales reports, the Hyundai Creta sold a whopping 12,651 units in the month of April alone. This helps it being quite ahead of the second place holder Kia Seltos which sold 7,506 units. In fact, the popular SUV sold more unit than the Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq (2,413), and VW Taigun (2,631) combined. The third place is held by Maruti S-cross with a sale of 2,922 units. Other models managed very small numbers comparatively. For example, the MG Astor only sold 249 units in April 2022. While the MG ZS EV sold 228 units, the Nissan Kicks only managed to sell 144 units.

Launched recently, the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition starts at Rs 13.51 lakh for the S+ 1.5 Petrol variant. The fully-loaded SX(O) AT 1.5 Diesel model retails at Rs 18.18 lakh. The limited edition will be even sold with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine variants and in S+ and SX(O) trims. The 4 variants on offer will include the 1.5 S+ Petrol MT, 1.5 S+ Diesel MT, 1.5 SX(O) Petrol IVT, and 1.5 SX (O) Diesel AT.
The Hyundai Creta is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder unit (115 PS/ 145 Nm)/ 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine (115 PS/ 250 Nm)/ a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol T-GDI engine (143 PS/ 242 Nm). Both the petrol and diesel engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission and optional automatic transmissions (CVT and a 6-speed torque converter, respectively). The turbo petrol engines come with a 7-speed DCT only. Safety features include ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), up to six airbags, and more.
