The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the most popular SUVs in the country. Despite long waiting periods, it is getting costlier and more popular. The mid-size SUV is priced at Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base model. Whereas the top-end variant comes at Rs 23.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). There is almost Rs 9.2 lakh difference between the top two trims of Mahindra XUV700 alone. The popular car is comfortably outselling its comeptition currently. Let’s taka a look!

As per the sales reports for mid-size SUVs in India, the Mahindra XUV700 was on top in April 2022. It is sold 4,494 units to reach the number one spot. This is more than both the Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari combined, which sold 2,422 and 2,071 units, respectively. However, the second position is maintained by Tata Harrier as it managed to sell 2,785 units. The number 5 is held in April 2022 by MG Hector & Plus (1,448 units), followed by Jeep Compass which sold 886 units.
The Mahindra XUV700 comes in two broad trims: MX and AX (AdrenoX with AX3, AX5, and AX7 variants. You can choose from a 5 and 7 seater configuration. The mid-size SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit that offers a maximum power of 200 PS and a peak torque of 380 Nm. The Diesel engine outputs 155 PS/ 360 Nm in the lower version and 185 PS/ 420 Nm (450 Nm in automatic variant) in the top model. Both the petrol and diesel engine variants come with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission choices. An optional AWD is available as well with the AX7 AT.

The top-end variant comes with features like climate control, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, Smart Door Handles, a 3D Sound System with 12 speakers, and a 360-degree camera. Safety features on the SUV include up to seven airbags, an electronic parking brake, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (emergency autonomous braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control). The base model only gets two airbags.
