Citroen is finally bringing a new compact SUV to the Indian market. Now, the production-ready model of the upcoming car has been spied a few times
Citroen is a unique brand in the Indian automobile market. With models like the C5 Aircross, it has tried to combine modern tech with passenger comfort. The French carmaker was expected to launch the Citroen C3 last year. Now, though, it has been spotted sans camouflage on multiple occasions, with the latest sighting helping us with a glimpse of the funky interior. The new spy shots from Facebook hint that the much-awaited car is finally ready for release. It looks quite robust and modern. Let’s take a closer look at the baby-Citroen C5 Aircross.

As you can see in the images we have here, the Citroen C3 features a cube theme with a unique exterior design. It comes with blacked-out pillars/ roof rails and stylish allow wheels. The upcoming car seems to have high ground clearance (180mm). The bonnet is also positioned slightly higher. The front fenders, rear reflectors in the bumper, and tailgate feature chrome elements. You can also see a faux skid plate, an upright tailgate, and a roof spoiler. Additional features include a dual-tone rear bumper, double-slat grille, split headlamps, and rectangular tail lamps. Customers will be able to choose from at least two color options.
Citroen C3 Interior
Inside, the car will have a dual-tone look with an orange pad running across the width of the dashboard. The highlight, however, will be a floating-type touchscreen infotainment unit that could measure upto 8-inch on the variant that has been spied recently. The steering wheel is a flat-bottom unit that seems to have been borrowed from the C4 Aircross. Also, we expect the cabin of the new model to be as high on practicality as the bigger sibling. From the looks of it, the new model won’t break any new ground with the equipment on offer but safely expect it to stand at par with rivals like Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis when it comes to the features list on offer. In fact, the C3 could even out do both the adversaries by offering a more practical cabin.

Specs
The Citroen C3 is expected to be powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that offers 130 hp of peak power. For transmission, the company might add a 5-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The compact SUV is expected to come with features like a Digital Instrument Cluster, a free-floating Touchscreen Infotainment Display, 3-Spoke Steering Wheel Layout, Automatic Climate Control, Uniquely Designed Air-Con Vents, Cruise Control, and mirrors with internal adjustment. The Citroen C3 is likely to have a starting price of roughly Rs 8 lakh, with the top-spec trim going for upwards of Rs 12 lakh. The compact car will be positioned as a lifestyle car that should appeal to those with a taste for French flair, which is something that will help it look and feel more special than the Maruti Ignis as well as the Tata Punch.
