Jeep Meridian Features
The first short video clip shows the SUV undergoing mild off-roading as it passes through a pond with ease. Basically, the driver is shown saying that he’s going for a swim and the Meridian is then seen gliding over a waterbody. In the second clip, the SUV is shown going through an off-road trail effortlessly. The much-anticipated SUV is positioned above the Compass and becomes Jeep India’s most affordable offering with 3 rows of seats. The new model is produced at the company’s JV production facility in Ranjangaon with Tata Motors. It has a high level of localization of more than 80 per cent to keep the cost under check.

The highlights of the equipment list include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera and more. Up front the Jeep Meridian look a fair bit like the Commander sold abroad but inside, the similarities aren’t much owing to the revised layout with theatre-style “stadium” seats. The cabin is a lot more spacious now due to the extended wheelbase, while the panoramic sunroof helps the cabin feel airier.
