Ever since Ford quit manufacturing in India, the loyal fans are secretly praying for the iconic Endeavour to make a comeback in some form. Well, whenever the news of next-gen Ford Everest hits the news in international markets, there is some hope of bringing it to India via the CBU route. That is why it becomes interesting to see what this model has new in terms of features and powertrains.

2023 Ford Endeavour Diesel – Exterior
The outside of Everest looks imposing and dominating. The C-shaped LED DRLs are wrapped around the LED Matrix headlamps with dynamic cornering function, elegant alloy wheels, functional roof rails, LED taillamps with a glass slab connecting both ends lending a modern appearance. The SUV looks dominating from any angle you see it from.
Interior and Features
According to this video, the next-gen Ford Endeavour (Everest) is about to be unveiled in the Australian markets and the features it will come with are out. The Everest is the premium SUV version of the Ranger pickup truck. This translates to humongous space inside the cabin. The features list is rather lengthy with things like a massive 12.3-inch Digital Instrument Cluster (for higher trims), a huge 12-inch Portrait-style Infotainment System with Ford’s latest SYNC 4A operating system and connected car tech, 360-degree Camera, Active Parking Assist 2.0 with automatic parking function, Drive Modes for varying gearshifts, ABS, Traction Control, Calibration, Throttle Response, Heavy Load Towing Capabilities, 800 mm Water Wading Capacity, Wireless Smartphone Connectivity, a massive Moonroof, Powered Tailgate, Ambient lighting, and much more.

The powertrain options include a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel, a 2.0-litre turbo diesel and a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol, depending on which international market is receiving this model. The choice of transmissions includes either a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. There is plenty of hardware and features for off-roading adventures including various 4×4 modes for any type of terrain. Whether or not Ford brings this to our market remains to be seen. But with the fans being so excited, it may well be a scenario worth considering as it was one of the most loved SUVs in our market.
