A Hyundai Venue has kept all its occupants safe in yet another freak accident in which a truck trailer fell on it after tyre burst
We have been pretty regular with reporting accidents in which cars keep their occupants safe even in some horrifying accidents. The latest accident involving a Hyundai Venue and a truck trailer is no different as the strong build quality of the sub-4-metre SUV has kept everyone safe even though the entire incident is quite scary. Now, it must be noted here that the Venue has bagged a 4-star score in Australian NCAP testing but still, the nature of the accident is such that any vehicle is prone to suffer severe damage and transfer the impact to the occupants.

As seen in the video above, a huge truck trailer fell on a Hyundai Venue after it was hit by another truck. The second truck fell on its sideways after experiencing a tyre burst. It’s said that the truck was carrying 4 metal plates of 2 tonnes each, while the heavy commercial vehicle itself banged into another truck that, in turn, landed on the Venue’s nose. Clearly, the small car has taken a huge hit from the impact and its front-end is damaged beyond recognition. Also, the truck body can be seen resting on the car but its weight has been held well by the white sub-compact-SUV. All the occupants of the Venue came out of the car totally scratchless, which is something that surely goes on to show the high crash worthiness of its company’s most affordable SUV.
The Hyundai Venue has been one of the most popular models in the B-SUV segment. It has been regular with outselling the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon. It is expected to receive a facelift later this year. The updated model will bring the aesthetics of the SUV in line with the South Korean carmaker’s latest design language as seen on the Tucson and the Palisade. A similar styling has already been seen on the Creta facelift that is on sale abroad. The same model is expected to come to us in a few months’ time. The updated front-end would make the car look wider due to the new grille.

At the rear, the facelift is expected to feature connected taillamps that will remind one of the Kia Sonet. The similarity might be too much for a whole bunch of people. There is no data on the interior layout but it is expected to see some major revision. However, we don’t have any reasons to believe that the powertrain options will be altered in any way. This means that the facelifted version will continue to come with petrol, diesel and turbo-petrol engines.
