We have been covering everything that is in connection with the Mahindra XUV500 SUV so as to keep you updated about this successful product from Mahindra & Mahindra. Just a couple of days back we reported that the XUV received 5900 bookings in two days and also stated that the production will be increased.
With no surprise the overwhelming response of the car has compelled Mahindra to announce officially that in the next couple of months the XUV production will be increased from 2500(current) to 3000 units a month.
Arun Malhotra, Senior Vice President, Sales Customer Care said “The response to the XUV500 has been overwhelming and the demand is very good. The management will make every effort to ramp up the production.”

The sales reopened on 25th January 9 am and the application form is available till February 4th with an initial deposit of Rs. 80,000 from interested buyers. As we reported the firm booked nearly 6000 cars in two days of time and it is being said that the number will cross the 10000 mark effortlessly. Now the only disappointing fact about the car is that it will delivered to 7200 buyers only whose names will be chosen through a lucky draw.
The draw will be conducted in Mumbai and the results will be published on the official XUV500 website on 15th February 2012 and the winners will also be contacted individually via courier, email, phone call or print media.
This is exciting as well as disappointing from the buyer’s point of view as one could either get the car or not which totally depends on his or her fate. Let us hope that in the near future, the production is increased to such a level that Mahindra stops depending on the draw scheme.
