The 2022 Maruti Brezza is gearing up for the launch as soon as June, according to our sources. We have already seen some images of it a while ago and the production-spec variant looked ready. Maruti has already launched the new-gen Baleno and highly updated versions of Ertiga and XL6 along with even introducing a minor facelift for the WagonR. Maruti is coming up with new models for many of its favourite products this year to tackle the competition from the market. Let us see what to expect from the compact SUV.

2022 Maruti Brezza Launch Date and Changes
The launch of the new model will take place in the second week of June this year (2022), with a high probability of it taking place on June 15. While the overall silhouette of the compact SUV remains almost identical to the current model, as is the case with almost all facelifted versions, there are a few distinctive changes to help differentiate the facelifted model. This includes a sharper and modern-looking headlamp cluster with LED DRLs, redesigned front grille with chrome insert, a new front bumper, sleek LED taillamps, ‘Brezza’ moniker slapped on the boot, integrated roof spoiler, roof rails, alloy wheels and the much talked about, electric sunroof among other details.
On the inside, there will be quite a few changes as shown in the images above. Although the digital instrument cluster looks like the one of the current model, the free-standing touchscreen infotainment display is new, there will be a whole host of connected car tech features with smartphone connectivity, multi-purpose steering wheel, a slightly redesigned dashboard layout, automatic climate control, cruise control, voice commands and many such modern comforts and convenience equipment.

Specifications
The 2022 Maruti Brezza is likely to be powered with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the current-gen model. This engine outputs 105 hp and 138 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. It will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Maruti might also add the Smart Hybrid Technology for better fuel efficiency. Additionally, several reports also suggested that Maruti is planning to reintroduce the diesel engine with the new Brezza. However, there is no official confirmation about that and our guess is that Maruti might continue to stay away from diesel motors and might instead come up with a CNG variant for the new SUV.
