Ssangyong Rexton Details and Pictures From Auto Expo 2012
Ssangyong Rexton SUV made an appearance at the Auto Expo 2012 at the M&M pavilion. The Rexton blends the elegance of a luxury model with the rugged features of a hard-working off roader. The upright headlamp shape flanks SsangYong’s distinctive grille to emphasize Rexton’s power, while the attractive rear view design houses a convenient flip up glass tailgate. At home both in a chic urban environment and a hostile off-road setting, Rexton’s confident appearance reflects its engineering pedigree.

At the heart of the Rexton range is a line up of powerful engines to match the SsangYong’s capable off road separate chassis. A permanent all wheel drive system distributes ample torque to all four tyres for optimum acceleration and responsiveness, working in harmony with Rexton’s multifunction electronic stability programme (ESP). These systems are all crucial in a vehicle capable of towing a market leading 3.2 tonnes.
When the going gets really tough the driver can also call upon the ultimate off road mode by simply switching to low ratio. Once selected, the Rexton’s gearbox equally distributes the torque with a 50/50 split of available drive to the front and rear axles to give excellent all round traction. From the mid-2012, SsangYong will also add a new highly efficient 2.0 litre diesel engine to the Rexton range, compliant with Euro V emissions regulations. Uprated brakes work with the standard ESP (electronic stability program) system which combines electronic brake force distribution, ABS (antilock brake system), BAS (brake assist system), FTCS (full traction control system), HDC (hill descent control) and ARP (active rollover protection).

Ssangyong XIV–1 Concept Car At Auto Expo 2012
Ssangyong XIV –1 Concept Car was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2012 and was a major head-turner. It’s a modern crossover concept with the vision for next-generation crossover model with robust attributes of a B-Segment SUV with affordable running cots of a small family car. It emphasizes on the mobility and connectivity attributes like the capability to interact with the car using mobile devices, it allows to control everything in the car like the audio system, information display, online communication etc. using the mobile devices.
