Yamaha R15M V3 Comparison
Before we begin, it must be stated out loud that you should not perform such drag races out on the highway for your own safety and for the safety of others. These riders have taken the necessary precautions just to test the capabilities of these bikes so that you don’t have to do it. Both these bikes come with the same 155 cc liquid-cooled SOHC engine making 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. The transmission duties are carried by a 6-speed manual gearbox with a wet and multi-disc clutch. The R15M comes with traction modes and a quick-shifter for smoother gearshifts.

Drag Race
The drag race commences with the riders wearing full body kits for maximum safety. Being powered by the same engine with a minute difference in power output, both bikes accelerate at almost the same rate and also hit the same top speed of 146 kmph due to wind blast. To make the comparison more accurate, the riders change the bikes for the second run. Both these bikes came out as winners in one of two rounds. This indicates that there is not much difference in the performance of the two.

Design Comparison
While both these bikes feature sporty fairing inspired by the bikes of higher segments, there are subtle differences. To start with, the projector headlamp on the R15M looks a bit more modern, the fairing has a more aerodynamic element to it with sharper creases overall, the fuel tank is also a bit more sculpted, the flanks at the sides of the rear seat are sleeker and the logo is a 3D design with chrome finish. Apart from that, both these bikes look super sporty and performance-oriented.

The prices for the Yamaha R15M range between Rs 1.67 lakh for the base variant to Rs 1.79 lakh, ex-showroom for the MotoGP Edition. On the other hand, the prices for the V3 range between Rs 1.48 lakh, ex-showroom. So, if you are looking for the performance of the two, then you can save some money and still get almost the same output from the V3. However, if you want better and modern looks with the latest tech features like the Yamaha connected tech, then you can go for the R15M.
