Yet another instance comes to light where a doctor is struggling with the Kushaq EPC errors multiple times even after getting the fuel pump replaced. Ever since the deliveries of the mid-size SUV began, people have been coming forward sharing their horror stories with their new cars. The EPC error appears in a matter of weeks from the deliveries and the SUV stalls while driving. It had to be towed away to the workshop where the staff doesn’t know what the actual problem is. They replace the fuel pump hoping that the EPC error won’t bother the customer again, only to find out the same issue in another week. It is ridiculous to face such issues in a car costing almost Rs 20 lakh, on-road for the top-trim (or for any new car for that matter). Here are the details of this instance.

Skoda Kushaq Multiple EPC Errors
According to the Kushaq owner, he has faced the EPC error 3 times in just 40 days. He had his SUV towed away to the service centre. During the first time, it took one week to get the sensor replaced. After facing the EPC error the second time, the fuel pump was replaced with a more robust unit. That took 2 days and the owner still experienced the EPC issue after that. The third time, the Skoda officials told him that they will do a software update. Being a doctor by profession, the owner is struggling to spare so much time on the repairs of a brand new car. He had posted this information on a FB page to make Zac Hollis aware of this. Zac replied to him asking about his details to get in touch with him to get the issue fixed. The Kushaq owner has attached various photos of the multiple EPC errors.

The mid-size SUV was supposed to be the torchbearer for the next phase of the Czech carmaker’s India 2.0 strategy to grab substantial market share for itself. They were able to achieve over 90% localization with the Kushaq. However, all seems to be going south for them at the moment. The Kushaq comes with a premium price tag with fewer features than the Korean rivals. On top of that, the EPC issue has been plaguing the overall image of Skoda even more and fewer people are likely to consider this over the feature-rich and easy-to-maintain Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
