In an unfortunate series of events, an overloaded Tata Altroz crashes but keeps all the occupants safe. The premium hatchback was carrying 6 persons in total including 3 adults and 3 children. The Altroz has been rated 5-star at the Global NCAP safety tests. This is also the reason for its popularity and appeal. It is the only 5-star safety-rated premium hatchback in the country. That has resulted in the Altroz giving a tough fight to the extensively feature-packed, Hyundai i20. The owner of the Altroz shared the images on a Facebook page expressing his gratitude towards the safety of the Tata Altroz. Here are the details of the incident.

Overloaded Tata Altroz Crashes
The owner tells that his Tata Altroz was overloaded with 6 people in total. The images show that as the car crashed, the airbags are popped open preventing serious injuries to the passengers. While the details of the crash are not available, it is clear from the pictures that the left side of the car has taken a strong hit. The bumper has come off and the damage has reached the engine area. The front fender and grille have been destroyed. The battery and engine components are visible. Considering how tough and rugged the build quality of Tata Altroz is, this kind of consequence could only be a result of a huge impact. No wonder the owner of the hatchback is thanking his/her stars that no one was seriously injured. This, again, is a testament to the quality of safety aspect this car has.

There are three engine options on offer including a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 86 PS and 113 Nm, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine making 110 PS and 140 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 90 PS and 200 Nm of peak power and peak torque respectively. There is the option of a sole 5-speed manual gearbox with all the variants of the Altroz. The prices of the Tata Altroz range from Rs 5.84 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh, ex-showroom.
