Launched in August 2019, the Kia Seltos has been very successful in helping its carmaker establish a strong foothold in the market. The C-SUV definitely has a lot going for it – from multiple engine options to feature-laden cabin and a handsome exterior. However, like everything, the Seltos has started ageing a fair bit, albeit, rather gracefully. By next year, it’s slated to receive a mid-cycle facelift that should freshen things up. We’re yet to get a glimpse of what the updated version would look like, but today, we’ve some visuals of what is being touted as the Kia Seltos GTZ concept and this is exactly what we want the facelift to look like.

Imagined by SDESYN on Instagram, the Kia Seltos GTZ looks pretty radical without actually disturbing the base design. The front-end for example, looks neater as well as meaner with a blacked-out upper grille and a futuristic iteration of the Ice Cube LED fog lamps. The bumper has a cleaner design with the removal of the indicators. The hood-level positioning of the LED headlights has been retained. Lest we forget, even the bumper has been re-profiled and now gets a cleaner look.

In the side profile, the designer has gone ahead and removed all the chrome. Instead, the car gets blacked-out window-line and body-coloured door mirrors. Speaking of the body colour, the candy orange paint scheme makes the Seltos look a lot younger and even a bit sportier. A major highlight of the side profile is the XL-size chrome rims that wear low-profile rubber. These, together with the black plastic cladding on the wheel arches, add some more excitement to the aesthetics.

The rear is our favourite part with sleek wraparound taillamps giving the rear-end a very clean look. Of course, the bumper has been re-profiled and carries quad exhaust setup, while the faux skid plate has been blacked out to maintain the sporty look. Another addition here is the huge roof-mounted rear spoiler which isn’t immediately noticeable owing to its black-colour merging well with the black-tinted windscreen. A black-painted shark-fin antenna and the GTZ badge complete the look of the rear-end. Overall, we’re totally impressed with the way the Kia Seltos GTZ looks and hope that the upcoming facelift of this Hyundai Creta-rival looks exactly like what we’ve got here. What do you thinks?
